Progressive Dinner

This past weekend we had our annual Progressive Dinner with the youth of Redeemer. Unfortunately it was the same week as Prom and Senior Banquet for many of our students. Regardless it was a great time! You can see more pictures and read about the night here.

While we were doing this our friend George was having a rough day that would only get worse as he sat with us in Kansas City while his wife gave birth to their first child in Dallas. Classic story, though he doesn't appreciate the "classic" part of it yet. Their is reason to praise to God though as their baby boy, Reese Owen Deines was born healthy apart from the abandonment issues he has as a result of his dad missing the first big event in his life. Nothing showing up to a Christmas pageant won't fix. After all, it is not like he skipped his son's big event to play in a pub league division "D" soccer game.

I don't know. I saw Reece. He seems to have already forgiven his daddy for missing his big day.

He has forgiven his daddy, but Reese officially hates Kansas!

So Reese has reached the age of understanding? Will you be having him baptized?

:)

Couldn't resist.

Jay I'll give you $10 if you can get Reese to eat a burger by his 5th birthday.
